Show a Teacher Some Love!!!!

Well, the end of the school year is coming soon. I've been busy planning fun things for my son to do while he's out as well as wrapping up a few end of year items at my school. I just finished the course I was taking today. YEAH!!! I'm glad that's over - it's been awhile since I had to read and study so much!

It's teacher appreciation week, and I've been busy making cards for all they wonderful teachers in my son's life. His school had themes for each day and I ran with it - so here's some pictures.

The first theme was "We're NUTS about you!" hence the peanut card! The card base itself is peanut shaped too - very fun to make! I looks like a pile of peanuts.

The next theme was "Thank you BERRY much!" so of course strawberries! Again the card base itself is the berry and it opens up. The back of the card is also decorated so when it stand up it looks like a giant strawberry.

So you can see what I have been up to recently. We also made crepe paper roses for the "We're BLOOMING proud of you!" theme - but didn't get any pictures. They were really neat though and much easier to make than I actually expected. I made them using a Martha Stewart kit - check it out - this is a picture from her website (so not the ones I made) but you get the idea - here's a link:

Well, I guess that is about it for now. Take care and show the teacher's in your life - both past and present - some love and appreciation this week!
